As a national 4A-level scenic spot, the Qinghai Province Museum has collected over 47,000 pieces of cultural relics, which cover various aspects related to Qinghai, such as history, religion, politics, ethnic minority and folk custom.
The museum is divided into 9 exhibition rooms and covers 22,800 square meters. Three exhibitions including the prehistory culture, Tibetan Buddhism art as well as relics of local ethnic minority are the highlights at the museum.
There are lots of collections with strong Tibetan flavor, ranging from the Golok Tibetan Knife, frescos from Gautama Monastery, to silk cloth and bamboo scripts excavated from the Dulan Tubo Kingdom Tombs.
