Tasting Shoton charm in Tibet Museum

Lhasa, champion of residents' sense of happiness in Chinese cities for five consecutive years, is immersed in an atmosphere of joy, happiness and harmony during the traditional Shoton Festival lasting from Aug.17 to Aug.23, when people enjoy themselves with various entertainments, relative-visiting and a week of spare time without going to work.

During the week long festival, many citizens and tourists poured into the Tibet Museum for an activity themed as "colorful Shoton", which features presenting popular entertainments in a three-dimensional and interactive way in limited area to visitors who can also practice the activities their own.

Among the visitors, some are drinking the butter tea; some are devoted in the Go game; some are drawing Tibetan Opera masks; some are making kites...

"Mum, Look at this piece of the Go game! It looks like a trumpet shell!" said a young boy from Hunan Province with curiosity.

After watching the game for a while, he began to play with other players.

The "colorful Shoton" activity will last till the last day of the festival on Aug.23. If you want to have a full look of the festival in a shorter time, the Tibet Musuem is a good choice.
