Sea of peach blossoms in Nyingchi.
The 10th Peach Blossom Festival is set to open in Gala village of Nyingchi Prefecture, southeastern Tibet, on April 1, released on the news conference held in Beijing by the municipal government of Nyingchi Prefecture on Feb.14.
The opening ceremony will be held in Gala village, known as the "Peach village", said by Tsewang Biandan, vice chief of Nyingchi government.
Activities during the festival: Tour to Nyingchi: "Let the peach blossom witness our love",photography contest, "Gongbo Drolma beauty contest", "Gongbo whistling and archery"will also be held. Tourists can also visit various scenic spots in Nyingchi and go rafting in Brahmaputra River.
