First of all, every Tibetan student would receive 500 yuan ($80 USD) living subsidy from school, increasing from 450 yuan and 480 yuan respectively.
Secondly, students can enjoy free flights from Beijing to Lhasa in their summer vocation.
Thirdly, all students will be exempted from tuition from next semester. The original tuition for each student is 900 yuan ($143 USD) in each semester.
Last but not the least, the school is going to reconstruct facilities of students’ bathrooms so that they can enjoy better living conditions.
Beijing Tibet High School is the only Tibetan high school in the capital of China. Over 95% of its students are Tibetans.
After graduation, these students would go further education in inland universities and then land jobs in different regions of China. Most of them choose to go back to Tibet, working in fields of business, education, politics, media and etc.
