Academic publications on archeological research increased

Since the peaceful liberation of Tibet in 1951, China has attached unprecedented importance to the preservation of Tibetan cultural heritage. The Central Government has made a series of favorable policies toward the protection and promotion of traditional Tibetan culture in various forms, which have reaped fruitful results.

In recent years, Tibet has produced many publications showcasing the achievements of archeological work of the region.

Cooperated with other institutions, the regional archeological departments have published about 100 research reports or thesis, including a series of county-level treatise on cultural relics in different places, field archeological finding reports and picture albums.

Picture albums titled Tibetan Cultural Relics and China's Ancient Architecture and the Potala Palace are highlights in previous book exhibitions at home and abroad.
