Thanks to the rebounding national economy and rapidly growing foreign trade, the total value of Tibet foreign trade increased by 107.9% to 836 million dollars in 2010, hitting a decade high, sources from the Lhasa Customs.

The key products including textile, mechanical and electrical products saw dramatic growth.  They are mainly exported  to Nepal, Germany and the U.S.

Last year, the import-export value between China's Tibet and Nepal reached 542 million dollars, accounting for 65% of its overall foreign trade value, statistics from Lhasa Customs shows.

In the first month of 2011, Tibet reported an overall import-export value of 87.66 million dollars, up 39.6%, while the export value amounted to 81.721 million dollars, increased by 57.8% over the same period of 2010.

Besides, the regional trade value with Nepal takes up 68.1% of its foreign trade total in January 2011.
