Tibetan shepherd at the foot of the Karuola Glacier, Shigtse Prefecture of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), photo from China Tibet Online.
Lying about 5,600 meters north of the main peak of Karuola Mountain., Karuola Glacier is about 71 kilometers from Gyangtse County, Shigtse Prefecture of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR).
It is amazing that due to the smoke and dust from passing vehicles on the highway nearby, the entire glacier looks like being divided into two layers - black and white, which gives a distinctive beauty to this masterpiece of nature.
