With the windup of the National Day holidays, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region saw a traffic peak of returning passengers, which also indicates easier hotel reservation, less tourists around scenic spots, but the tourist peak season in Tibet has not yet ended.
The touris sector in Tibet have already made promotion plans for the upcoming winter tour after the "golden week" in hope for keeping the hot local tourist market.
Statistics shows that the passing seven-day holidays have pushed up its consumer market. A turquoise business owner at Langsai Shopping Mall in Barkor Market, Lhasa told reporter that his sales volume soared during the "golden week", much higher than usual.
David, an American living in Shanghai, took his whole family to visit Tibet in this "golden week". Walking in the Barkor Street in Lhasa, David was impressed by the well-preserved architectures and exotic Tibetan customs. He said: "I am totally embraced in the warmth of local Tibetans. It is amazing and I will visit Tibet again."

"Time is too short to enjoy all the sceneries in Tibet. What we missed this time, we will make it up on our next visit."
For most Lhasa residents, some preferred jaunt, outing or driving tours while others flew to visit inland cities.
According to local tourism authorities, formerly most tourists to Tibet were foreigners, but nowadays tourists are composed of both domestic tourists including locals and inland visitors and foreign tourists.
From October to the end of this year, the promotion film "Winter Tour in Tibet" will be broadcast through several of China's most popular channels to further boost the popularity of Tibet tourism at home and abroad.
"'Winter tour in Tibet' mainly promotes ecological tour in eastern Tibet, represented by Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, holy city tour to the Potala Palace and snowy mountain tour to Mt. Qomolangma," according to an official concerned from Tibet's tourism sector.
In Lhoka Prefecture, "Winter Tour in Lhoka" has already kicked off during the National Day holidays, as the first of its kind to provide sales promotion for key scenic spots and hotels.
Soon, as expected, other cities in Tibet will announce their own preferential policies to promote winter tours.
