Peculiar Danxia Landform in Qinghai province

A flock of sheep passes by the Guide Danxia Landform in Qinghai province, Aug 3.

Guide Danxia Landform with total area of 400 sq. km is located in Guide county of Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai province. Formed in the 3rd century, the Danxia Landform refers to the red colored sandstone that characterizes the many steep cliffs of the landform's mountains. With long term wind and water erosion, the Danxia Land has developed into various shapes, such as steep cliffs, stone walls, peaks, stele and so on.

In recent years, the Guide Danxia Landform has been keen on by more and more tourists and photographers.
