Tibet to welcome more people participating in physical activities

Within the next five years, Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) will witness 770,000 people doing exercises as the local Sports Bureau launches more activities to promote national fitness, sources from the TAR Sports Bureau.

According to the Bureau, up to date about 700,000 people in TAR (a quarter of the whole population) do exercises more than three times a week with each time in more than 30 minutes.

In the next five years, TAR will redouble its efforts to build more fitness centers. It is expected that the population parcipating in sports will reach 840,000 by the end of 2020, said Deyki Drolga, director of the Bureau.
