Jia spoke highly of the achievements made by the association and encouraged all the members to contribute more to the preservation of Tibetan culture and unity of various ethnic groups in Tibet.

Sidar, the newly-elected vice chairman of the Executive Council of the CAPDTC announced the conclusion of the 2nd Congress of CAPDTC following the successful election of members of 2nd Executive Council of CAPDTC after a two-day session from June 29 to 30.

Phagpalha Geleg Namgyal was elected chairman of CAPDTC.
Zhu Weiqun, Lhapa Phuntsok, Jamyang Losang GyumeyThubten Chokyi Nyima, Ye Xiaowen, Chapel Tseten Phuntsok, Losang Gyaltsen, Nyima Tsering, Gyare Losang Tenzin, Tseten Droma, Feng Jicai, Sidar, Dondrup Wangpun, Yang Zhijin, Wang Zuoan, Shan Qixiang and Zhu Xiaoming were all elected vice chairmen of the association.
Zhu Weiqun was also elected Secretary-general of CAPDTC, and Du Qinglin and Raidi were both granted titles of honorary chairmen of the association.
Besides, a total of 47 newly-elected directors were appointed members of the CAPDTC Standing Committee.
