The registration for the second-round brand name appraisal of Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) came to an end on June 28 with 32 enterprise participants. TAR plans to appraise 4 to 6 Tibetan brands this year, according to Bureau of Quality Supervision of TAR.
"Authorized evaluation is no longer the only standard of selection this time,consumers and the market are the best judges for brand names," said an official from TAR Bureau of Quality Supervision, “Experts and consumer representatives will conduct on-site surveys during the selection process in addition to the online and traditional media inquiry.”
The Tibetan brand name will be valid for four years. The winners will be listed on the special enterprises of the central government and given favorable policies in technological innovation, development and financial support, etc.
