The 1st Seminar on Tibetan Buddhism and Tibet's Harmonious Society was held at the Buddhism Academy of Putuo Mountain, Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province.

Around 400 experts from related universities and units attended the seminar.

It is unanimously agreed among the experts that Buddhism culture is a major part of traditional Chinese culture, which plays an important role in the social progress as well as the national harmony.

As a major part of traditional Tibetan culture, the Tibetan Buddhism has been widely fused into Tibetan people's life, greatly influencing the politics, art, culture, custom, mind and other aspects of Tibet.
