Tibetan people celebrate 'Shangjiu' Festival in Sichuan


Photo from Xinhua shows Tibetan people in Qiaoqi Township, Baoxing County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province are celebrating the traditional "Shangjiu" Festival on February 22. Each January 9 according to Tibetan calendar marks the traditional "Shangjiu" Festival, on which Tibetan people will hold lantern show, lion dance, dragon dance and etc. to show their admiration for the heaven.  Hit by "May 12" Earthquake 2008, Qiaoqi Tibetan-inhabited Township shows people a new look after over one-year reconstruction.
