13,000 Tibetans to live in new houses in Chamdo

Chamdo attaches great importance to housing projects for needy Tibetan farmers and herdsmen. In 2009, there will be 13,000 Tibetans to move into new houses, 431 activities centers at village level and 22 new rural communities will be set up, sources from related department in Chamdo.

Chamdo government allocates the funds for building materials to ensure the housing projects carried on in rural areas. Thanks to the Comfortable Housing Program, farmers and herdsmen can move into new homes very soon.
