Tibet seizes illegal traffic of protected wildlife

Local Forestry Bureau of Ngari of Tibet Autonomous Region, southwestern China, has currently cracked down an illegal trade of heads and horns of state first protected Tibetan antelope.

Ngari Forestry Bureau has ferreted out 17 boxes of wildlife products including 56 heads and 19 horns of Tibetan antelopes, 1 head of Tibetan Gazelle, when they were managed to be transferred.

According to the bureau, the found horns of Tibetan antelopes were either donated by local Tibetans or picked up instead of illegal hunting or purchasing. Further investigation is still on the way.
