Lhasa River, called Gyiqoi in Tibetan which means "Happiness", is one of the five primary confluents of Yarlung Zangbo River.
Lhasa River, the mother river of Lhasa City, resembles a hada scarf lying between the mountains. People there love it very much. On the weekend, they would like to walk or drive there to fish, paddle and enjoy the sunshine with buttered tea.
In the opposite of Potala Palace, Sun Island lies in the center of Lhasa River. Hada scarves are all impressive and are telling dreams of Tibetan people. Now, as a tourist site, it has attracted bustling people for leisure.
