First kindergarten opens in Tibetan village

The Kagaou Kindergartern, the first village-level kindergarten in Ngamring county was opened on May,17th with the assistance of the working team stationed at the village.

The Kagaou Kindergartern was once named Kagaou preschool, which was intended to be built as a preschool education center, but it was closed for lack of funds and poor facilities.

The working team composed of staff from the Education Bureau of Shigaza Prefecture and the prefecture vocational technical school invested 5,700 yuan in the supply of teaching equipment and the building of bilingual kindergartens in farming and pastoral areas to popularize the 2-year preschool education in Ngamring county.

The Kagaou Kindergartern has not only provided good environment for preschool children of Ngamring county, but also took the lead in implementing the "three guarantee " policy (the Central government provides free dormitory, food and education for children in farming and pastoral areas of Tibet in the compulsory education period). It will improve the teaching quality of the area. .
