The Baingoin County Sinopec Primary School, an aid-Tibet primary school, launched its completion ceremony on August 14. The 4,700-meter height above the sea level makes it the highest school in the word, according to Xinhua New Agency.

The Bangoin County covers an area of over 30,000 square meters with an average elevation of 4,745 meters, the highest county and one of the most impoverished counties in Nagqu Prefecture of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. To ensure all children of farmers and herders to go to school in the county, China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) invested 36 million yuan to build the Baingoin County Sinopec Primary School for the local children in September, 2010.

After years of construction, the Baingoin County Sinopec Primary School has been finally put into operation. The school is built as a "Tibetan palace". It covers an area of 12,700 square meters, including one classroom building, six student dormitories s and four residential buildings for teachers and administrative staff, etc. 

"The kids of the Bangoin County can study in spacious classrooms! We are delighted to see the most beautiful school in Bangoin County," Sonam Dondrup, a Tibetan teacher of the school told the reporter.

Kunsang Tsering, a Tibetan primary school student said, "We would study hard here so as to serve the society in the future."

Since 2002, the Sinopec Group has devoted over 180 million yuan to aiding the Bangoin County.
