The large-scale epic drama
Princess Wencheng has officially ended its last performance of the fifth season at the night of Oct. 31.
During the fifth season, a total of 186 performances were staged, attracting near 4,500,000 visitors to watch and enjoy the related tourist facilities. Among them, there is a 20% year-on-year increase in audience number.
Princess Wencheng, a large-scale epic drama of Tibetan culture which officially opened on August 1, 2013, tells the love story between the Tang (618-907 AD) princess and the then Tibet King Songtsen Gampo.
It is reported that the sixth season will open on April next year.
