Tiger Leaping Gorge enters best viewing period

On July 11, after days of rain, the Tiger Leaping Gorge scenic spot in Yunnan province entered its best viewing period with the spectacular scene of big floods until September. The Tiger Leaping Gorge is one of China’s deepest canyons. It is originated from Jinsha River in Qinghai province and located in Shangri-la city of Southwest China’s Yunnan province, about 96 kilometers away from the city. Legendary says that a fierce tiger running down from the top of the mountain can easily leap across the gorge when he stands on the rock in the middle of the river, so the gorge get the name  Tiger Leaping Gorge.
