LHASA, May 4(China Tibet Online) Forty senior artists in Lhasa will compete in the upcoming Fourth Chinese Seniors' Cultural and Art Festival held in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on May 4, 2014.

The artists will perform two characteristic Tibetan dances including Xianzi, a beautiful and lyrical combination of Tibetan folk songs and dances, and a pastoral dance.

With an average age of 61, the old artists overcome many difficulties to perform high-level actions in the dances, showing the new look of Tibetan seniors and the life style in pastoral Tibet.

Founded in last June, the Lhasa Senior Art Troupe is comprised of retired senior citizens in Lhasa.
