At Gonggar Airport, tour guides were greeting visitors coming from afar with Khada (a white piece of silk hanging on the necks of friends and visitors, as a propitious symbol) on their hands. Tenzing, a tour guide from the Tibet Tourism Agency was ready to greet visitors from Singapore. "I have received a growing number of groups from overseas since September," he said. "The tourists I have been waiting for will go on a 4-day tour to Potala Palace, Barkhor Street and Yamzhog Yumco Lake. Besides, Tashilhunpo Monastery and Mount Qomolangma are also favored by foreign tourists."
