A seminar was held to introduce Tibetan medicine during a Tibetan delegation's visit in Berlin, capital of Germany on June 25.
Tsewang Demba, director of the out-patient department of Tibet Tibetan Medicine Hospital, briefed Tibetan medicine's origin, development, theory and therapy at the seminar.
The attendant Germans showed great interest in the presentation and raised various questions on Tibetan medicine, such as its healing effects, acupuncture treatment, health care, difference and similarity between Tibetan medicine and Chinese medicine.
Tsewang Demba patiently answered their questions, making the seminar a highly interactive event.
The delegation will exchange with German politicians, scholars, media and the public on Tibet's religion, politics, life, culture, tourism and education, including some acute issues, stated Jigme Wangtso, head of the delegation and secretary-general of the Tibet International Culture Association.
