A contemporary Tibetan painting exhibition, titled "Impression of Tibet", was launched in Berlin, capital of Germany on April 12.
A total of 42 paintings by 12 Tibetan artists are exhibited at the Chinese Culture Center in Berlin, which fully reflects the cultural traits on the Tibetan plateau.
The artworks cover a wide range of contents, including Tibetan history and modern progress, religious and ethnic charms, featured meticulous heavy color painting and time-honored Thangka paintings.
The exhibition marks the first group exhibition for Tibetan artists to show their paintings in Germany and even the whole Europe.
As one of the activities during the 2012 Chinese Culture Year in Germany, the exhibition is held in celebration of the fortieth anniversary of diplomatic relations established between China and Germany.
A series of activities are organized to further promote the mutual understanding between people of both countries, according to the organizer.
The exhibition is co-organized by Tibet Literary Federation and Tibet Artists Association and supported by Chinese Culture Center in Berlin.
The exhibition will last to April 20 and be held later in Cologne city, the fourth biggest city in Germany.
