Monks in Samye Monastery, the oldest Buddhist monastery in southwest China's Tibet, were blowing the long horns in a religious ceremony.
The long horn, named as “dungchen” in Tibetan language, is a unique instrument of Tibetan culture, which is widely used in Buddhist ceremonies and rituals. Being played in pairs or multiples usually, the long horn is compared to the singing of elephants.
