Beijing, Dec. 27-- China's largest Tibet-related website, China Tibet Online officially launches its German version on Tuesday in Beijing, marking an important step toward its goal of becoming a multi-lingual website.

Up to now, the website has four sub-websites in Chinese, Tibetan, English and German.

The new German version (german.tibet.cn) gives more weight on time-honored Tibetan history and culture catering to the interest of the German audience, and presents changes in the life and improving living standard of the Tibetan people in Tibet Autonomous Region, Sichuang, Yunnan, Qinghai and Gansu Province.

With a modern design and user-friendly contents, the website is prone to provide first-hand information and stories, serving as an "online library on Tibet" for German readers.

In addition to authoritative data on the history and current information of Tibet, the cyber media offers more exclusives on the highland region with latest stories happening in Tibet and its neighboring provinces where Tibetans live.

Founded early in 2000, China Tibet Online is now the largest non-governmental website on Tibet-related information and in-depth reporting.
