Heavy snow hits Nagqu

Under the influence of the cold air from the north and the warm air from the south, heavy snow lasted in Nagqu prefecture in the north of Tibet autonomous region from 8 A.M. on October 21 to 8 A.M. the next day. In Nagqu County, the precipitation is 20.4 mm, and the snow depth is 19 cm; in Sog County, the precipitation is 10.7 mm, and the snow depth is 19 cm. the heavy snow has effected the livestock production and road traffic safety to various extents.

After the snow, the temperature will drop by 6 to 8 ℃. In addition to the intensity and accumulation of the snow, staffs of Meteorological department suggest the local residents keep warm and pay regards to the safety on roads.
