The exhibition opens from Mar 26 to Apr. 19 at the Museum of Yuexiu District, Guangzhou.
Born in Golak County in northwest China's Qinghai Province, Golog Shirab once apprenticed with many famous painters, and has created a large number of Thangka paintings featuring the combination of both traditional and modern techniques.
Thangka is the traditional Tibetan scroll painting mounted on satins, commonly worshipped for its religious connotation. The themes of Thangka painting range widely from history to religion, culture and society of the Tibetan ethnic group.
