An exhibition featuring time-honored Thangka masterpieces officially kicked off in the Cultural Palace of Nationalities in downtown Beijing on November 16.
Sponsored by the Tibet Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the exhibition is scheduled to be held for six days, offering visitors a total of 70 masterpieces of Thangka paintings.
Thangka, a Tibetan transliteration, is a kind of traditional Tibetan scroll painting featuring Buddhist themes.
