Every morning, ritual walkers can be seen at almost any corner of the city, tracking clockwise around monasteries with prayer beads and wheels in hands and chanting some Buddhist sutras in a lower voice.

A majority of them are elderlyTibetans, because, as a friend tells, local people are strongly attached to Tibetan Buddhism, and senior Tibetans who may have retired seem to have more time to devote themselves into the piety towards their belief.
