The sixth reincarnation of Dezhub Living Buddha visited Lhasa from April 15th to 19th for Buddhist ritual practices.
Dezhub's visit started from worshipping Buddha at the most famous Johkang Temple where the 12-year-old life-sized statue of Sakyamuni is shrined. The 6-year-old reincarnated Living Buddha practiced Buddhist rituals and presented Khada to the Buddhist statue.
Later, Dezhub visited Drepung Monastery, the Potala Palace, the Tibet Museum and Lhasa Railway Station during his five-day stay in Lhasa.
When visiting the monasteries, Dezhub did his best to give his blessings to all the devout pilgrims by touching their heads one by one.
Following a lot-drawing ceremony, the 6th reincarnation of Dezhub Living Buddha was officially approved by the government of Tibet Autonomous Region and was enthroned at the age of five at Zagor Monastery in Lhoka Prefecture of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region on Aug. 2, 2010.
Dezhub Jamyang Sherab Palden, the Buddhist name, was given by the 11th Panchen Lama Bainqen Erdini Qoigyijabu.
