A eldery woman in Tibetan costume is conducting a full-body prostration when going on a pilgrimate in the Sagya Monastery in Shigatse Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region. [Photo by Mirenda/China Tibet Online ] Sagya Monastery used to be the place where Tibetan local regime located and numerous precious historical relics and books were stored. From 2002, the China government has invested hundreds of millions of fund on the maintenance of the Sagya Monastery.
