Tibet builds first Children's themed park

The first Children's themed park of Tibet has come into construction in the regional capital Lhasa On May 24.

The Lhasa Dekyi Norbu themed park will come into use in June 1, 2013, covering an area of 20,000 square meters. The total investment of this project is 75 million yuan, among which 25 million yuan is from aid Tibet funds, 25 million yuan is supported by Beijing Tourism Group and 25 million yuan is from local enterprises.

Lhasa Dekyi Norbu themed park will be a modern public place for entertainment. Several recreational facilities are designed for special climate in Tibet and tourists' physiological features such as Ferris wheel, big pendulum, pirate ship, carousel, chairoplane, and pulley. An indoor stadium will be built for visitors in severe winter and hot summer.

The solar photovoltaic power generation system will be built in the theme park and a large number of new environmental energy-saving building materials will be used. In 2013, a green, environmentally friendly and low energy consumption themed park will be opened to citizens in Lhasa.
