The book is edited by Xie Jisheng, Sheng Weirong, and Liao Yang. The Tibetan Buddhist canon in both Chinese and Tibetan editions is well known in Buddhist circles. While the Chinese edition contains more information regarding early history, the Tibetan edition has more literature about later events; to conduct comparative studies on both Chinese and Tibetan editions of the Buddhist canon is not only to find similarities but also differences.
The proceedings, with a total of 27 papers (16 papers in Chinese and the other 11 papers are in English) briefly describe the status quo in Tibetan art studies around the world. The book costs 58 Yuan and is published by China Tibetology Publishing House.
