20 among 57 award winners for painting contest on Tibet under 35

As calculated, 20 of the 57 award winners for the 1st Beauty of Tibet Painting Contest are under 35 years old (including 35). The exhibition of the contest kicked off on Oct. 26 in the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution.

Among the young winners, seven painters are no more than 25 years old; the youngest one is only 21 years old.

"Artworks of these newly rising stars impressed us with their fresh and bright style although their skills are not as competent as the old generation," said Liu Xilin, famous researcher of  the National Art Museum of China and one of the judges of the contest.

Their achievement is concerned with their dedication, and some of them have formed a folksy style.

"I don't want to leave my photos. I would like to show the world with my artwork," said Guo Ting, a 25-year-old college graduate from Hubei Province, who has won the second prize for her watercolor painting Scores .

The following are some of the artworks from these young artists.
