Migmar Tsering, the sixth generation inheritor of Drigung embroidery Thangka, began to lead his team to make the world largest Thangka in 2004. With a height of about 120 meters and a width of about 85 meters, the Thangka is formed by 19 Buddhas and 12 wild animals, combining the traditional technique of relief sculpture and embroidery. Currently, each component of the Thangka has been finished and they are under assembly. It is estimated that the Thangka will be finished by the end of this year.

Drigung embroidery Thangka has been included in the state-level intangible culture heritage list.
