Marc Riboud is a French photographer. He is best known for his extensive reports on the East, including The Three Banners of China, Face of North Vietnam, Visions of China, and his new work: In China.

In 1957, he was one of the first European photographers to go to China. During his stay in China, he took a lot of pictures of historical values. Lots of Chinese leaders, such as Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Deng Xiaoping and others once appeared in his works, which reflected distinctive features of Chinese society of the times.
