"Beauty of Tibet" art show thrills visitors

Painting with unique perspective attracts enthusiastic visitors[Photo/China Tibet Online]

The “Beauty of Tibet” Painting Exhibition following the Art Contest became a spotlight in the Chinese People’s Military Museum in Beijing on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 29. The Art Contest was a week-long event from Oct. 26-30 in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet Autonomous Region in 1951.

"It is thrilling," said a woman photographer who is always interested in Tibet. "I have watched several art shows on Tibet, but I think this is the largest and the best. Look at the blue sky, the white clouds and the big mountains, like a paradise! They can purify your soul, especially for urban dwellers who are fed up with the ‘Madding Crowd’. And the comparison of colors and the perspectives of the paintings are also gorgeous."

Some visitors who were so intoxicated by the exhibition that they left messages on the album as follows:

"I want to see how Tibet has changed after my last visit ten years ago," said an old man who is a retired photographer. “I am planning to visit Tibet again next year. And I also like to see in what aspects artists depict Tibet at the present time.”

"Beauty of Tibet, Magnificent Rivers and Mountains!"

"I followed the artists to enjoy the rivers and mountains and local customs of Tibet. They are absolutely fabulous!"

Some other visitors also gave some good advice and suggestions.

"I hope there will be a photography exhibition. But paintings are better at showing people’s feelings with stronger visual shock."

"I only heard of this exhibition from Beijing Youth Newspaper. There should be more advertisements with more details about the exhibition in the media."

"I hope the exhibition can last longer, say, a month..."

"Excellent exhibition! I hope there will be an album published!"

"The approaches taken in doing most of the paintings seem to be similar. I hope more modern and creative approaches will be taken."

Although the "Beauty of Tibet" Painting Exhibition has drawn to an end by now, it will be held again in two years. And it will become a brand activity of China Tibet Online in every two years. May the visitors’ wishes come true by then!
