Rakesh Volz: a day in Tibet

Rakesh Volz a CRI reporter of Hindi language department describes his tour in Tibet.

"I was born in Himachal Pradesh, which locates at the southern foot of Himalayas. In the past, when I asked Tibetans where the Tibet was, they always answered 'just behind the mountains'. While growing up, I have more chances to collect information about Tibet."

Nine years ago, Rakesh Volz came to China for his first time. This year, Rakesh Volz's dream comes true by visiting Tibet. On August 1st, Rakesh Volz with CRI reporting group flied from Beijng to Chengdu and then arrived at Lhasa Gonggar Airport. "On the flight, we overlook the majestic snow-capped mountains and made the photograph with digital cameras." Rakesh Volz said. "I have made abundant preperations for this trip by taking medicine to avoid altitude sickness."

The CRI reporting group includes Hindi language, Bengali, Czech, Nepali, English, German, Italian and Tamil, the Ministry of correspondents in seven languages.
