Chamdo Prefecture is the core area of the Shangri-La tourist area in the eastern Tibet Autonomous Region. An important stop along the ancient tea horse road and the point where the Nujiang, Jinshajiang and Lantsang rivers conerge. Chamdo is rich in both cultural and natural resources. However, it is the ever changing sunlight reflected on the rolling green velvet landscape and the thick forests unspoiled by human hands that fascinate photographers of these picitures offered to CRI.
