Lhalu Wetland in winter, Lhasa

The Lhalu Wetland has beautiful scenery in winter, migrating birds finding food about every corner, herdsmen grazing cattle, thin ice filming the water, snow mountains standing near far. Located at 3,600 meters above the sea level, it is renowned as the “lung of Lhasa” as it is the highest and largest natural wetland in China. This group of pictures were taken on Jan. 12, 2014.
