Tashidokhar Temple, an ancient monastery located in Kyerpa Township, Nedong County of Tibet's Lhoka Prefecture, has taken on great changes since it was moved to the foot of the local mountain in 1984.
Through an aid project, the temple has built new broad asphalt road, which not only makes traffic more convenient but also avoids sand and dust, according to the management department of the temple. The temple has also made greening construction through the aid fund, improving and beautifying the local environment greatly.
The temple's reading room built in 2008 is the first of its kind in Tibet. By far, all the temples of the region have their own reading rooms, offering monks easy access to Buddhist learning.
