Participants of the third Austrian Charity Ski Race raised money to support the Little Flower Projects in Beijing, which takes care of orphans with special needs.

The event, organized by the Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy, is said to be one of the largest and most international winter sports events in China.

A total of 100 racers from 15 nations competed at the ski race Saturday in Wanlong Ski Resort of Chongli, Hebei province.

The raised fund will be delivered to the Little Flower Projects in May.

The first two charity races collected 207,000 yuan ($32,892) for the SOS Children's Village in Lhasa, capital of the Tibet autonomous region, according to the organizer.
