Lhasa kids attend 'interest classes' in summer

The two-month summer holiday is a great opportunity for students to keep away from boring text books and start learning new things accorrding to their own interest.

In Lhasa, many parents choose to send their little 'princes' and 'princesses' to the Children’s Palace, where they can join various interest groups.

Founded in 1980,  the Lhasa Children's Palace is honored as "China's Advanced National Children's Palace". Thousands of children come here to learn Latin dance, jeet kune do (a kind of martial arts created by Bruce Lee), T'ai Chi, belly dance and street dance.

Students can attend classes they are interested in and most of them tend to choose just one class that they particularly like.
